Voice of Lele (Lea Firth) comes from a long line of West Papuan music royalty and this week she previewed her new single ‘E Mambo’ on The Pacific alongside her husband and First Nations musician Mitch Tambo. Her family was the first West Papuan refugees to settle in Australia in 1988. E Mambo is a cover of the iconic hit by Arnold Ap and pays homage to her father Agustinus Rumwaropen, lead singer of the influential West Papuan group, The Black Brothers.
