Easily one of the cutest towns in Wisconsin 🍎 📍Bayfield, Wisconsin This was taken last year during the Bayfield Apple Festival. I met my friend there for a spontaneous day trip! I recommend checking out: @honestdogbooks @aibooks Hoop's Fish & Chips Dockside The Big Ravine - West Rim Trail is a pretty spot to hike. It's right in town yet feels like you're in the middle of a forest. There are also a ton of apple orchards in the area. #bayfield #apostleislands #madelineisland #lakesuperior #great

It's been years since I've driven across the ice road between La Pointe on Madeline Island and Bayfield (the mainland), Wisconsin! Here's our trip home today coming back from the island! We're driving over water that is over a hundred feet deep. 6.5 miles north on the island is open water (shown at the end of the video). It might seem weird, but it feels very safe when you're doing it! | The Outdoors Historian
