One of Canada’s largest yellow cedars, likely around 2,000 years old, has been cut down. It was the country’s 11th widest yellow cedar, an exceptionally rare tree. Discovered and documented last year by Joshua Wright, a renowned conservationist and filmmaker, he measured its diameter at 2.79 metres.
