McConnell Dowell has today been named as the contractor to build the new Bridgewater Bridge. The new bridge will be a standalone four lane bridge built downstream of the existing bridge. The design also includes enhanced interchanges at Granton and Bridgewater, a shared path for cyclists and pedestrians and a navigation height matching the Bowen Bridge.
