The Israel Museum @ 60 1965-2025 The year is 1966. Two exhibitions devoted to famed modernist artists crisscross between Israel’s major cities—the artworks of Paul Klee, which had been shown at the Israel Museum, make their way to Tel Aviv. At the same time, paintings by Pablo Picasso which were shown at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art are mounted onto a truck and pass by the Knesset on their way to the Israel Museum.
