📺🏀On May 15, 1981 the made-for-television comedy film “The Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan's Island” aired on NBC as part of the “Friday Night at the Movies” series. Some of the Harlem Globetrotters who appeared included Curly Neal, “Sweet Lou" Dunbar, "Geese" Ausbie and Bobby Joe Mason. In 1973, Harlem Globetrotter Hubert "Geese" Ausbie appeared on the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon. He can be seen here with KATV's Cal Dring, Vic Schedler, and Bozo the Clown. Ausbie served as the "Clown Prince" for the Globetrotters from 1961 to 1985. A native of Oklahoma, Ausbie attended Philander Smith College in Little Rock.
