He decided to “father” a deer. Sarge, a German Shepherd, met Buckwheat, an injured deer, when his owner took him home. Instead of running, the pup stuck to him like a father and wouldn’t let him go. He was there when he ate and played and cuddled him at night, caring for eachother as a family. Soon the deer had to go back to nature. But Sarge would not be alone.
