Out and about this week. We came across a wild dingo. This is what a real desert dingo looks like. Skinny, fit and determined. This animal looks nothing like our ‘fat’ wildlife park dingoes. It had no fear, just a dogged determination to find food. Why waste energy when you can run on a ‘human’ road….. rather than through prickly spinifex. I've made a friend who captured some amazing footage of a Dingo capturing a Kangaroo. Ricardo Mendonça told me the following. "When I was up the hill I didn’t know there was one nearby and I saw this kangaroo bolting behind me and I captured the Dingo grabbing it by its tail , unfortunately we both scared each other and it let go of the roo and managed to live for another day". Being such efficient and capable predators with unique flexibility Dingoes are more than capable of pulling down a roo.
