Christmas in Dixie! Visiting Covington Square in downtown Covington, Georgia at about 4am on Dec 14, 2024, RJ. This Court Square is normally bustling this time of year, but I deliberately came early this morning—when the crowds are gone—so I could enjoy the beautiful Christmas lights and the Confederate Memorial in peaceful silence. “We had our Christmas dinner yesterday—hard-tack and water.
