Feb 5, 2022 · There were three stimulus. One and two $1200 and $600 are for tax year 2020. You claim them on 2020. Or you ask to have a payment trace done. You can’t claim them on 2021. The third ($1400) is for 2021. If the IRS thinks they sent it, but you didn’t receive it because you moved or closed your bank etc. then you ask for a trace.
