Sep 2, 2011 · So if you go back to the 1e core, the setting is actually very sparse. It's dark, spooky, rather odd, and filled with wide-open concepts that were later nailed down. Mage 1e is definitely worth a look for an interesting way to portray the Mage setting. I still default to a 1e feel when running my Mage games.

The descriptions you have for each Sphere are severely limited compared to what's offered in Mage:the Ascension. In fact, aside from the names, the Spheres barely resemble what's in Mage:the Ascension.
