Nov 4, 2023 · As the Lenovo Legion Go has USB4, it should be straight forward to install an eGPU. Just need the AMD USB4 driver and that should be the end of that. That's what I needed for the Lenovo Z16 I have, which is also Ryzen Based and one of the few Ryzen Laptops with USB4. I just needed the USB4 drivers and that was it. Nov 12, 2023 · External GPU set up with legion go: 850W battery with zotac trinity rtx 4090 oc plugged into a RG43SG 4.0, which in turn is plugged into a M.2 NVME to thunderbolt case (normally used for SSD hard drive enclosures) then plugged into the Legion Go. The HDMI is plugged to the TV but the internal display is also showing the same image

Nov 11, 2023 · Is it a good idea to use LegionGo + eGPU as a daily PC? I usually just browse website and watch 4K videos. LegionGo only has 512gb storage, I am afraid it’s not enough for daily use. Is it OK to play Online MMO games, like WOW or any other MMO games with decent graphics? I may be wrong but I think GPU is the bottleneck for graphics setting.

When I use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to remove the existing drivers, then connect the RX 6600 XT and install its drivers, the external GPU works, but the internal AMD780M doesn't function. On the other hand, if I install the drivers from the Lenovo Legion website, it becomes impossible to install the drivers for the RX 6600 XT.

Would love to implement the eGPU concept of using the Go as a second pc setup, but it seems to be a very shallow market with only a handful of surprisingly expensive enclosures. Not sure why I can't buy a box for 500 that just needs a PSU, but oh well.

Sep 23, 2023 · Legion Go slowly making its way towards the global release got me thinking if we'd be able to connect an external GPU to it..? Knowing there is no posibility for Asus to allow such thing on ROG Ally duo to thier proprietary connector, now or any time soon.
