All of the exploits / bugs have been removed, as the world more or less follows the logic of our own world unless explicitly stated otherwise. This is also a good thing though, because it means most of the arbitrary constraints of the game don't apply.

I played through Skyrim SE last fall when I first got my steam deck and it's still as fun as ever. Certainly not a perfect game but the exploration is what makes it legendary even after 12 years. May 11, 2022 · Start with jewellery (get transmute from Halted Stream Camp, and use up those spare gems). Then once you hit smithing-30, take the dwarven perk and go berserk on dwarven bows (minimal ingredients vs xp gained).

I can't change the difficulty?? It keeps resetting to Novice.
My next step is to download the "Wildcat - Combat of Skyrim" mod and adjust the Novice difficulty damage multipliers to match Legendary. I hope a proper fix comes along soon, but seeing the same issue discussed for ages without resolution is discouraging.

First make sure that your Skyrim is fully up to date, to make sure it is you can verify integrity of Skyrim's game files. Open steam, then from the library section, right-click on Skyrim and select Properties. Select the Local files tab and click the verify integrity of game files.
