30A/2P stacked washer/dryer...is 20A laundry circuit still required?
Mar 11, 2010 · I have been double dipping in my calcs, counting the 1500W laundry circuit plus the full 30A/2P washer/dryer load. I think going forward I should continue showing the laundry circuit with the "eliminate it if you can" note, but should stop calculating the laundry circuit twice - just go with the 30A/2P load only.

I am told they use the same 230 v 30 amp plug and cord as a regular dryer and the washer is on the same circuit . My question is what is the best location as far a height and centering on the closet back wall for the dryer outlet .

Anywhoo,,, it is a old home, it has a 4-wire 30amp circuit supplying the closet.
