Shaun Peter Murphy (born 10 August 1982) is an English professional snooker player who won the 2005 World Championship and has completed the Triple Crown. Nicknamed "The Magician", Murphy is noted for his straight cue action and his long potting.

Murphy has continued to enjoy success on the World Snooker Tour, consistently retaining a position inside of the world’s top 16 throughout the 2010s. In 2017 he claimed the Champion of Champions invitational final for the first time with a 10-8 victory against Ronnie O’Sullivan at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena.
