UFC Perth took place on Saturday night, with plenty of Australian talent on display in high marquee matchups, leading to some potentially exciting future matchups for the winners.
In February 2023, UFC 284 was a sell-out at RAC Arena with a gate north of $4 million. In August 2024, UFC 305 kicked off a multiyear deal between the promotion and the city of Perth to bring two shows to the city each year. The response for that pay-per-view was another sell-out and a gate near $5.5 million.

“The fight stoppage is currently under review by the state combat commission,” Matthews wrote. “It’s not easy to switch back on after a referee’s call, but we’ll leave it in their hands and see where it goes. At the end of the day, rules are rules.”
