Southport voters will be deciding between two candidates for their next mayor. Former mayor Joe Pat Hatem and incumbent Rich Alt are vying for the chance to be Southport's next mayor.

Two women who were at the American Fish Company on Saturday have come out to share their story about what happened that night during the mass shooting.

There are four candidates vying for two seats representing Ward 1 on the Southport Board of Aldermen. David Miller, Karen Mosteller, Mike Crosbie and Robert Carroll are all vying for the two seats. Ted Blackburn had also filed to run but dropped out of the race after the filing period ended.
