With 56,950 participants hitting the streets of Paris on Sunday, the Paris Marathon now holds the title as the largest marathon ever.

Paris Marathon sets record for largest marathon with 56,950 participants, passing the record set by the 2024 Berlin Marathon.

The title of world largest marathon has changed hands several times in the last two years and Sunday's Paris Marathon is now the world largest race of it's kind — even beating out the majors.
