Auburn football drops out of AP poll consideration following loss to Texas A&M
Last week, Auburn fell out of the rankings with a 24-17 loss to Oklahoma, but still picked up 122 votes. That put the Tigers just outside the top 25. This week, Auburn did not receive any votes after being defeated by Texas A&M 16-10.
Five of Alabama's next six games are against ranked foes, starting with Saturday's home clash versus the Vanderbilt Commodores. The good news for the Tide is that four of those five games take place in Tuscaloosa. The only road Top 25 game left on their schedule is at Missouri in two weeks.
Looking ahead, the Vols have their first bye week of the season before Arkansas comes to Neyland Stadium for another SEC matchup.
ATHENS — The Georgia Bulldogs suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday, losing 24-21 to Alabama at home. The defeat sent Georgia tumbling down in the AP Poll Top 25 rankings for Week 6, with the Bulldogs coming in at No. 12. Alabama is now up to No. 10 after its win.
