Samsung unveiled its new Samsung Galaxy S25 series of phones at its Unpacked event in San Jose, California. As expected, the phone company put new AI features center stage, highlighting the handful of hardware improvements over last year's handsets almost as an afterthought.

According to leaker Evan Bass, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will be 5.8mm thick and weigh 5.7 ounces. If the leak is accurate, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge would be the company's thinnest non-foldable smartphone ever. It would be thinner than Samsung's previous thinnest smartphone, the Galaxy A8, which came out in 2015 and was only 5.8mm thick.

Samsung has revealed that it will be bringing Google’s Gemini AI assistant to Galaxy A smartphones. While I generally quite like the Samsung Galaxy A56, one of my own pet peeves with the phone is that a long press of the side button (used for the power/wake function) brings up Samsung’s unloved Bixby assistant.
