Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred is reviewing a request for Rose to be removed from MLB’s permanently ineligible list.

It is unclear what a potential pardon would cover because Rose, who died last October, has not been convicted of a crime

Rose, who died last year at 83, was banned from baseball for life. He admitted in 2004 that he had bet on games, though never against his own team.
