Kings wingers Adrian Kempe and Kevin Fiala were named to their respective nations’ men’s ice hockey selections for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, where Kempe will represent Sweden and Fiala will skate for Switzerland.
The Bruins defenseman was one of the “first six” players named to Team USA’s preliminary roster for the Milano Cortina games. A Long Island native, McAvoy has long said it’s a goal to represent the United States at the Olympics.
Auston Matthews will lead the American charge at the Milano-Cortina Winter Games next year, as USA Hockey named the first six players to their roster on Monday with NHL stars able to compete on the Olympic stage for the first time since 2014.
Two players from the Nashville Predators have been selected to represent their home country in the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina in 2026. Captain and defenseman Roman Josi will represent Switzerland and goaltender Juuse Saros will represent Finland during the Olympics' hockey events.
