A winter storm warning for Atlantic, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Salem and southeast Burlington runs until 1 a.m. Tuesday. The National Weather Service’s forecast calls for snow to end around 1 a.m. Tuesday in the Atlantic City area and an hour later in Cape May County.

Snow began early Monday morning in Delaware and South Jersey before spreading into Philadelphia and areas to the north. Monday afternoon, the reverse occurred with snow tapering off from north to south through Philadelphia.

Snow began falling early Monday morning across Philadelphia, its suburbs, as well as New Jersey and Delaware. Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs are expected to get 3 to 5 inches of snow, while Southern New Jersey and parts of Delaware could see closer to 8 inches,
