Cloudy skies continue across Metro Detroit. Spotty sprinkles are possible today with most of the day overcast with highs near 40°. Rain showers increase Friday as a storm system approaches from the south.

DETROIT (FOX 2) - Though the next few days won't be full of all-day rains, they will still be wet as temperatures head up. Highs are above freezing on Thursday morning as the day starts damp. This first batch of moisture isn't heavy, but will linger through the morning and into the afternoon.

This fourth annual variety show involves everything the independent entertainment venue is known for: comedy, music, improv, theater, burlesque, drag, film and more. After tracking travel problems leading up to the Christmas holiday with sleet and some freezing rain, highs will be near 40 degrees for Christmas through Friday. There will be a couple of flurries on Christmas Day. By the weekend, temperatures will warm into the low 50s with rain chances returning both weekend days.

Slick spots are still possible across Metro Detroit through Wednesday morning. Temperatures climb by the end of the week and into the weekend.
