Long expected to go public following President Trump’s re-opening of the crypto floodgates, Kraken is finally making good on the rumors. On Wednesday, the crypto exchange announced its confidential filing of a draft S-1 registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission, a prelude to eventually IPO’ing.

Kraken, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges, said on Wednesday it has confidentially filed for an initial public offering in the U.S., as digital asset companies look to tap the new listings market before the 2026 midterm elections.

The Kraken lost 1-0 in a shootout against the Islanders, marking a return for coach Lane Lambert, whose only other head-coaching job was in New York.
