She said she felt like a 'Laapataa Lady' herself at a time when she couldn't find the right project for her second film after 13 years of making her directorial debut with 'Dhobi Ghat'.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the shortlists in 10 categories for the upcoming 97th Oscars ceremony on Tuesday, from which Kiran Rao's directorial Laapataa Ladies or Lost Ladies was missing from the list of Best International Feature Film category.
