Kirill Kaprizov’s massive new contract with the Minnesota Wild is garnering a ton of attention across the NHL, not only because of its size but because of how it will impact other free agents moving forward.
Per multiple reports on social media, the 28-year-old Russian has agreed to an eight-year contract which is the largest in NHL history. The $136 million dollar value is $8 million more than the $16 million average annual value that Kaprizov and his agent, Paul Theofanous, rejected earlier in the month.
