Cruise lines like Carnival and Royal Caribbean have fairly strict rules when it comes to alcohol. Of course, passengers must be of legal drinking age to consume alcohol on board. For Carnival and Royal Caribbean cruises departing from the U.S., that means passengers must be 21 years of age or older to drink alcohol at sea.

There are dozens of islands in the Caribbean that cruise ships use as ports of call, but one logistical problem when trying to fit several interesting ports into a week-long cruise is that some of them are far.

Carnival and other mainstream cruise lines are not known for offering tons of healthy dining options because most cruise passengers admit they want to indulge on vacation. But as demand for more healthy food choices increases on land, is it rising at sea too? That’s what Carnival Cruise Line brand ambassador John Heald wants to know.

Carnival has a list of banned items that you cannot bring on a cruise. For example, you can’t bring weapons, fireworks, liquor, any appliances with a heating element, or hoverboards, just to name a few.
