Category 5 Hurricane Humberto has formed north of the U.S. and British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean, with winds of up to 160 mph reported on Saturday evening.

Hurricane Humberto, a Category 4 storm, is not expected to make landfall in the U.S., according to the National Hurricane Center's latest forecast on Sept. 29, but the East Coast could still see some impacts.

Tropical Storm Humberto formed Sept. 24. A second system may develop into the next named storm , the National Hurricane Center said.

As of 4 p.m., Sept. 25, Humberto is 760 miles east northeast of the Northern Leeward Islands. Its maximum sustained winds have increased to 60 mph. Tropical storm winds extend 90 miles from the center of the storm.

As the National Hurricane Center tracks Hurricane Humberto, it's watching a tropical wave likely to become Tropical Storm Imelda.
