The search for those missing after Yemen’s Houthi rebels sank a ship in the Red Sea has ended as at least four people are presumed dead and 11 others remain unaccounted for.

The fact that so many countries in the region did not assist the ships quickly in order to deter the Houthis shows that it is not a priority. The Iranian-backed Houthis are emboldened after sinking two ships last week in the Red Sea.

The Department of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday said eight Filipino seafarers who were crew members of the M/V Eternity C which was hit by Houthi rebels in the Red Sea have safely arrived in Saudi Arabia.
