Michael Penix Jr. made his first start and had thrown one pick midway through the third quarter. However, Drew Lock of the Giants was having no luck finding his team. He threw a pick to Jessie Bates in the first half and then Matthew Judon came away with a deflected Lock pass and returned it 27 yards for a score.

The Falcons seem to be in firm control of Sunday’s game against the New York Giants. In the third quarter, linebacker Matthew Judon recorded the team’s second pick-six of the afternoon. Zach Harrison beat his man on the outside and deflected a Drew Lock pass attempt which fell into the arms of Judon.

With all eyes on rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr. making his first start, it was the Atlanta Falcons' unheralded defense and special teams scoring the team's first points Sunday against the New York Giants.
