The Atlanta Falcons did not play their starters very much in last year's preseason, and don't expect that to change in 2025. Prior to Monday's practice, head coach Raheem Morris was asked about the team's preseason plan for quarterbacks Michael Penix Jr. and Kirk Cousins going into Friday's exhibition against the Detroit Lions.

"Penix won’t get out there, Kirk won’t get out there ," Morris said in his Monday press conference. "So, we’ll see [Easton] Stick, we’ll see Emory [Jones]. That’s probably the most definitive thing I can tell you right now. There will be a lot of guys playing, and there will be a couple that won’t."
