"Severance," "The White Lotus," "The Studio" and "Hacks" are among the shows that earned top nominations for the 77th annual Primetime Emmy Awards​ as the 2025 nominees were announced Tuesday morning.

In a slate dominated by returning faves like 'Severance' and 'The White Lotus,' more offbeat choices like 'The Rehearsal,' 'Common Side Effects' and 'Somebody Somewhere' were particularly refreshing.

Severance’ leads the awards this year with 27 nominations, with ‘The Penguin,’ ‘The Studio,’ and ‘The White Lotus’ close behind.

The 76th Annual Emmy Awards will honor series that aired between June 1, 2024 and May 31, 2025. The 77th annual Primetime Emmy Awards are set to take place on Sunday, September 14, live on CBS at 8:00 p.m. ET/ 5:00 p.m. PT. Nate Bargatze will be hosting the awards show.
