1 man killed in Cuba as Tropical Storm Imelda and Hurricane Humberto threaten Bahamas and Bermuda
Humberto remained a powerful Category 4 storm in the Atlantic early Monday, the National Hurricane Center said.
He noted that Humberto pulled Imelda away from the U.S. East Coast in what’s known as the Fujiwhara Effect, a rare phenomenon in the Atlantic in which two storms are so close together that they start rotating counterclockwise around each other.
Tropical Storm Imelda is expected to strengthen into a hurricane as it moves north parallel to Florida's coast.
