Let the good times roll! South Louisiana is gearing up for the 2025 Mardi Gras season and there are several parades and parties that will roll through the streets of Baton Rouge and surrounding areas in celebration.

In New Roads, the Mardi Gras parades kicked off earlier than planned Tuesday. Parade-goer Becky Sinclair says the city of New Roads handled the severe weather threat on Mardi Gras day without a hitch.

Mardi Gras season is in full swing, and local krewes are getting ready to roll in several parades taking place over the next two weeks in the Baton Rouge area. If you want to join in on the fun, here’s a parade schedule with a few routes to help you plan ahead.

Jefferson Parish parades will not roll on Fat Tuesday because of expected severe weather, an official with the Krewe of Argus said. J. Garrison Jordan, this year's King of Argus, said Sunday night that he had been told that Jefferson Parish officials cancelled the parade Tuesday because of the expected inclement weather and strong winds,

Jefferson Parish officials are expected to announce on Monday, Feb. 3, the cancellation of all Mardi Gras parades.
