A man accused of helping an inmate escape from the Orleans Parish Jail was arrested in Livingston Parish on multiple drug and contraband charges.

Lenton Vanburen, Leo Tate and Jermaine Donald are three of the five remaining fugitives from a New Orleans jail escape recaptured on Monday. Vanburen was caught in Baton Rouge, and Tate and Donald in Texas.

The real threat to the city’s palm-lined avenues is disease: lethal bronzing and lethal yellowing, said Horticulture Extension Agent Joe Willis. The two palm diseases are transmitted by species of planthoppers, tiny insects that suck sap from palms and infect the palms with deadly bacteria.
