The mother of a 15-year-old California boy who was briefly detained by federal agents at gunpoint in a case of mistaken identity recalled the terrifying interaction in an interview Wednesday.

A Los Angeles mother and her 15-year-old son with special needs are speaking out for the first time after his mistaken detainment by federal immigration agents outside of Arleta High School on Monday.

LAUSD said a teen with disabilities was wrongly detained by immigration officers near Arleta High School, federal agents said they were after a man with a criminal record.
