The Arizona Diamondbacks got the trade deadline party started on Thursday night when they dealt 2024 All-Star Josh Naylor to the Seattle Mariners for two pitching prospects. That probably won't be the last time the D-backs make news before the July 31 deadline.
With only six days to go until Thursday's deadline, Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eugenio Suárez has emerged as the top projected target for the Yankees -- which makes sense, considering he has 36 home runs, only one fewer than New York superstar Aaron Judge.
Suárez might not be the perfect fit some might think, because rookie Caleb Durbin is excelling at third base in Milwaukee. But the 34-year-old also has 36 home runs, second-most in the National League, and nearly double the amount of anyone on the Brewers.
If the Mariners miss out on the Eugenio Suárez third base sweepstakes, here are three other third baseman they could trade for.
The Eugenio Suárez sweepstakes is seemingly the most exciting storyline at the trade deadline, and it recently took another shocking turn.
