MILWAUKEE (AP) — Marquette has promoted Mike Broeker to take over as athletic director from the retiring Bill Scholl.

Marquette University announced on Tuesday, Jan. 21 the promotion of Mike Broeker as the institution’s next vice president and director of athletics.

Marquette University has named Bill Scholl’s successor as director of athletics. University President Kimo Ah Yun on Tuesday announced the promotion of Mike Broeker to vice president and director of athletics, succeeding Scholl, who is retiring after 10 years at the institution.

Mike Broeker, a 1997 Siena graduate, was promoted Tuesday to athletic director at Marquette University of the Big East Conference. Broeker was in his 18th year as Marquette's deputy athletic director.
