In 1902, a funeral procession for a prominent rabbi turned into a melee in which nearly 200 Jews were injured.

Residents are saying enough is enough after the discovery of antisemitic graffiti at Lake Merritt in Oakland. It comes a year after a massive menorah was destroyed there.
