In a surprise no one saw coming, developer Rockstar Games released a brand new patch for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition nearly three years to the day the disastrous and buggy remasters first released on consoles and PC.

Grand Theft Auto Trilogy wasn't in the best state when it originally launched, but the development team has rolled out multiple updates since then.

'I would love to say that it’s going to make things cheaper, quicker, better, or easier to make hits. I don’t think that’s the case.'

The Definitive Edition had a weird and rocky release schedule coming out quite underdone on consoles and PC, before releasing for mobile last year on Netflix with that release having better lighting and other gameplay improvements that the console versions didn’t get.
