At least 20 Palestinians were killed on Friday in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza, according to local health officials, as U.S. President Donald Trump said he expected Hamas to respond to his "final proposal" for a ceasefire in Gaza in the next 24 hours.

The U.S. President said Israel “agreed to the necessary conditions to finalize” a 60-day ceasefire, “during which time we will work with all parties to end the war.”

At least 15 Palestinians died in an overnight Israeli airstrike in southern Gaza, local health officials confirmed on Friday. The strike hit a tent camp in Khan Younis around 2 a.m., targeting people already displaced by war.
