The New York Yankees activated Trent Grisham off the paternity list Thursday. The move comes one day after infielder Jorbit Vivas was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The Yankees were off Thursday in advance of a three-game home series that starts Friday against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Away from the Yankees this week for the birth of his first child, Grisham was added back onto the active roster during Thursday’s off day and likely be back in the lineup for Friday night’s series opener against the Blue Jays at Yankee Stadium.

In an official announcement on Thursday via their public relations account on X, the Yankees revealed that left-handed outfielder Trent Grisham was reactivated after spending time on the paternity list. "Today, the Yankees reinstated OF Trent Grisham (#12) from the paternity list," the team announced.
