The fallout from Trump's federal takeover of the police force in D.C. continues. Bondi's latest move prompts backlash.
(ABC 6 News) — The Trump administration is continuing its federal takeover of the Washington D.C. Police Force. Attorney General Pam Bondi appointed DEA head Terry Cole as the new emergency police commissioner. The D.C. Attorney General fired back with a lawsuit, arguing the administration is carrying out a “hostile takeover.”
The lawsuit comes after U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said Thursday night that DEA boss Terry Cole will assume the police chief's duties and approval authority for any orders issued to officers.
