A freeze warning has been issued for most of Southeast Texas as a blast of stinging cold is expected to arrive Sunday night, with temperatures remaining in the 20s, 30s and 40s through much of the week.

A freeze warning and a cold weather advisory were issued for Monday morning in the Houston area. Feels-like temperatures were in the teens and 20s waking up Monday morning. Bundle up today as wind chill values stay in the 20s and low 30s.

A cold front arriving in the region on Sunday could bring snow flurries to Houston-area residents next week. "Winter, for the next week at least, is going to feel like winter around here," meteorologist Eric Berger wrote on Space City Weather.
