NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 5080 shows early benchmark results: 15% faster in synthetic 3DMark testing than the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER.

With well over a 30% performance increase over the RTX 4090 in most tests, this new Nvidia gaming GPU definitely appears to be fast.

The RTX 5090 offered the most improvement in Steel Nomad (4K), scoring 14,133 points—some 53% higher than the RTX 4090’s 9,216. The previous-generation card did close the gap in other tests, like Time Spy Extreme (2160p), where the RTX 5090’s advantage dropped to 31% but still gained an average advantage of 39% over the RTX 4090.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 has been tested using 3DMark, and the results show clear improvements over older models. In one test without ray tracing at 4K resolution, the RTX 5090 scored about 14,133 points,
