"Pretty Woman" star Richard Gere has sold the Connecticut estate he purchased from musician Paul Simon for $10.75 million, just a few months after he voiced his desire to leave the U.S. and pursue a life in Spain.

Gere bought the estate from Paul Simon to start a farm, but now says he wants to relocate his entire family to Spain.

As for why Gere and Silva are selling their Connecticut home, the former “Sexiest Man Alive” revealed plans to move to Spain earlier this year in an effort to be closer to Silva’s family.

The actor, who purchased the New Canaan property from Paul Simon in 2022, is leaving for the sunnier pastures of his wife’s homeland: “Madrid is going to be a great adventure”

The 1938 house sits on 32 acres of land and features six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a pool, multiple gardens and a three-bedroom guest cottage.
