The Picasso Museum in Paris is launching a $50 million project that will build a sculpture garden and double its exhibition space.

Facing a budget crunch, France’s government has decided to cut state subsidies for overnight, cross-border routes that had revived a bit of the romance of rail travel.

The Picasso Museum will build the open-air park by 2030. The nearly $60 million expansion will also include a new wing designed to house temporary exhibitions
