An Amber Alert issued overnight for an abducted 2-year-old was canceled after deputies say the child was found safe.

Deputies say the suspect, James Mercier, was located on the property in the vicinity of the vehicle and taken into custody.

An Amber Alert was issued overnight on behalf of the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office for a 2-year-old who Louisiana State Police say was abducted.
