Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 40 points, and the Oklahoma City Thunder snapped back from a 42-point loss by beating the Minnesota Timberwolves 128-126 in Game 4 on Monday night to take a 3-1 lead in the Western Conference finals.
Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren combine for 95 points as Oklahoma City takes a 3-1 lead over Minnesota in the West Finals.
The Minnesota Timberwolves will host the Oklahoma City Thunder at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on May 26 at 8:30 pm ET. The game will air on ESPN. You can watch game three on the NBA's YouTube livestream. The livestream is region-locked to India but you can access it free with a VPN.
Alexander, Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams combined for 95 points and have the Thunder one win from the NBA Finals.
"They had 19 offensive rebounds, and we had 23 turnovers," said Donte DiVincenzo, who scored 21 points off the bench. "It doesn't matter who was gonna score, we can't win the game with those numbers right there."
When they rolled up to their chartered 757 flight at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City late Thursday night, no doubt there were some frustrated folks on board. Jaden McDaniels was annoyed with all the fouls he'd been whistled for while defending MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Upstairs, inside the 19,000-seat Target Center, is where Holmgren won four Minnesota state championships with Minnehaha Academy — a prep school 5 miles from downtown on the banks of the Mississippi River.
As Barkley pointed out, the Wolves must win on Monday to tie this series up. The NBA legend believes Minnesota has no other option but to do so because going down 3-1 against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Co. will be a death sentence for the Timberwolves.
